Volunteer Ministry Teams
Support is continuing for the Bridgeway Women’s Center. A collection tub is
located in  the foyer area ready for donations and a list of needed items is
available by the tub.  As you do your spring cleaning please remember that
what you no longer need may be something that this group could use.  New
and used items are appreciated.  Thanks for everyone’s donations.
Due to a significant increase in the number of people needing food assistance and the
shortage of available food in the local food pantry, a box has been set up for collection of
food items.  Currently, “Donate a Meal A Month with Feed My People” is being sponsored
here at Unity Christ Church.  You may have seen the yellow plastic bags that are
available on a table in the foyer. These bags make giving easier as they include a list of
complete meals for a family of one to three people for a cost of under $10.00.  Please
remember to pick up a bag before you leave church and bring it back the following week
filled with the items needed for a meal for a family. Your generosity is greatly
appreciated.
Unity Christ Church Service Projects
Here’s your opportunity for an easy way to participate in service projects.
It’s as easy as just bringing items to donate to one of the following:
Collection and Distribution of Daily Word and other Unity booklets and reading materials
A box is set up in the foyer near the book desk for collection of these.
They are currently being distributed to the Salvation Army and a prison ministry.
Two boxes full of Unity reading materials have already been distributed to these groups.
Please help in spreading the Unity message to more people.

The New Look of How We Do Things:  "Love In Action Ministry"
Attend Spirit's Call, Share Your Time and Talent

Unity is a freeing message of Truth.  God is Good.  God is love.  God's will for us is good!  God is within; we are
divine.  Our message frees.  Unity Christ Church welcomes all.  You are invited to share this message of welcome.
Your time is sacred.  Sharing ourselves is sacred work.  This is ministry.  Welcome to the sacred work of ministry.

BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING!
Spiritual nourishment is vital to sustaining a healthy, vigorous spiritual life.  Unity is a freeing message of Truth for
a world in need of it.  As we give, so we receive.  As we share our spirituality we are nourished and invigorated.

                                        Ministry Beliefs

"We do work and we love to serve because of [the] opportunity it gives the industry of Spirit to express through us."
(
Myrtle Filmore, Mother of Unity, 287)

In Unity thought, out link to God is through our minds.  Through greater understanding of the nature of mind, we
know that this is the "intelligent heart" or that combination of thought and feeling that includes intuition.  IN this
connection with God we find that we are in charge of our spiritual growth.  It's an inside job.  One time-tested way to
grow spiritually is to give of oneself in service to others.  As we practice the truth that we know, we grow through
situations and relationships in ways beyond anything we could do in private.

We are calling this work "Love In Action."   The Board and Ministers have changed the work, "committee" to the
phrase "ministry team."  With this, everyone will be given the an opportunity to become a member of a Love In Action
Ministry Team, e.g., Hospitality Ministry Team, Greeter Ministry Team, etc.

We would like to have at least four volunteers for every position in our existing Ministry Teams, and those being
created or recreated.  We are trying to identify enough people who are willing to serve in one or more capacities so
that no one would need to serve more than two Sundays per month (unless they choose to), and perhaps even only
once a month.

You do not need to be a member before applying to become a volunteer of a Ministry Team.  Complete the form below
and submit it to the church office or
click here to print out the form and give it to Revs. Glenn or Martha Mosley, any
Board member, mail it via US mail or leave it in the church office,

Serving your church is one of the most fulfilling and enriching experiences of a lifetime.  Some Ministry Teams
already exist and have great volunteers willing to help you learn.  For those Teams which are new, we will have one
(or two if needed) orientation sessions.  Someone will contact you about the time and room in the church.  We wish to
keep all positions full so we can continue to increase our Love In Action Ministry throughout the year.
