The Artist's Way:  A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
Starting Tuesday, January 26th for 13 weeks.  7:00-9:00 p.m.
Bible Overview of the Christian Scriptures Class
Sunday, January 24 - February 28, 2010 at 11:30 a.m.
LENDING LIBRARY

One of several services offered by Unity Christ Church is the LENDING
LIBRARY.  It is located at the south end of the lower level.  The shelves
contain books donated by members and friends of the church.  The books are
arranged alphabetically by author.
How Then, Shall We Live?: 4 Simple Questions That Reveal the Beauty and Meaning of
Our Lives
Wednesdays, February 17 - March 31 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Fellowship Room (One week
intermission for the Wellness and Well-Being Workshop makes it seven weeks)
Martha and Glenn Mosley will co-facilitate this discussion class; just by word of
mouth, we already have students signing up for the class.  If you wish to join the class
and would like to purchase a book ($18.00), please let Glenn, Martha or Judy in the
church office, know so we can order enough copies.  This book and classes on it receive
rave reviews and grateful praise.  “These wise, compassionate words will comfort,
inspire and challenge anyone who reads them.”  Larry Dossey, M.D.
Join Mary Biggs, Class Facilitator, as we get back to our spiritual path of
metaphysical bible interpretation.  Since Mary just finished teaching Bible Overview
of the Old Testament in the fall, the class will begin with the birth of Jesus and
revisit the beginning of the New Testament.  If you can, pick up a copy of Your Hope
of Glory, by Elizabeth Sand Turner, and follow along.
The Artist's Way is an empowering class for aspiring and working artists. With the basic principle that creative expression is the natural direction of life, author Julia Cameron leads us through a comprehensive twelve-week program to recover your creativity from a variety of blocks, including limiting belief, fear, self-sabotage, jealousy, guilt, addictions, and other inhibiting forces, replacing them with artistic confidence and productivity.

The Artist's Way links creativity to spirituality by showing in nondenominational terms how to tap into the higher power that connects human creativity with the creative energies of the universe, and guides you through a variety of highly effective exercises and activities that spur imagination and capture new ideas.

The class will meet from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. The cost of the 13 week course is $240.00 or $20 per session. To register or for more information, please contact Kimberly at (314) 725-4131.
Use of the LIBRARY is on the honor system. Just write the date, your name and the title of the book in the notebook provided. Cross this out when you return the book. Please borrow no more than three books for three weeks at one time. Place the returned books on the desk and a volunteer will re-shelve them.

You will find books by Unity authors, New Thought, Self-Help, Holistic Health and Nutrition, Psychology, Philosophy and Bible Reference. The Bible reference section is particularly good for students of the Bible. Among other good source books, it contains the 12 volume set of The Interpreter’s Bible and the 4 volume set of The Interpreter’s Dictionary of the Bible.

We invite you to become acquainted with the fine material in the Library. For more information contact Mary Biggs or the Church Office
